Baking Queen: The school year is right around the corner. What tips do you have for parents and students who are preparing to go back to school? What are your favorite memories from school? What helped you transition from summer back to school every year?

Jessica: When your kids go back to school make sure that they have everything that they need to have a successful school year. Make sure that when you start school shopping you should bring them with you and they can pick out what stuff that they want. Before school starts you should start play dates  with friends from school and you should also make sure that your kids meet their teachers before they start the first day of school.  My favorite memories was meeting my friends for lunch period and having my friends in the same class as me.  In high school my favorite memory was my senior year running down the hill, getting my yearbook and giving my graduating speech.  When I had to transition from summer back to school I got nervous and my teachers helped me stay calm and made sure that I could finish my school day and that seemed to help me. Your kids should treat all people with dignity and respect and if they see people being teased or being picked on they should help stand up for them and tell them to stop doing that.
