Ms. Hollick is so assertive and self assured that she draws her images twice; that is, she places an identical line surrounding the first line.  This technique lends itself to a very interesting style.  She has, on her own initiative, taken this technique a step further by carefully filling in the areas between the lines with a riot of color.  Jane also does all her own research for her paintings and large drawings.  She never is at a loss for ideas or themes.  When finished and hung on a wall, they seem to spring to life and have an obvious presence.  Jane’s strength and force of will permeates all of her work.

 

“I have fun doing it. I like to go out to draw because it gives me good ideas. I’m learning a lot about art in Art Studio, mostly from other clients. My favorite place is Paris, France. I would like to go there and paint there someday. I draw a lot of things in my mind or different parades.”
