SlingShot

Slingshot is an art studio and gallery for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our studio provides space, materials, and facilitation for each artist to develop an independent and meaningful art practice. Creative expression is a powerful avenue for artists living with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make a contribution to contemporary art. 

Our artists' work is notable for its uninfluenced raw creativity. Each piece, whether it is a drawing, painting, sculpture or textile, tells a story reflecting the perspective an artist with disabilities. The open studio environment is designed to encourage creative expression. The gallery offers an exhibition space that fosters belonging in the Santa Barbara art community.

Over 30 artists create and sell art at Slingshot.
